In 1807, John Seeley, a founding settler of Ovid, donated the land on which our beloved Three Bears now sit. More than 200 years ago, he had a vision of a thriving village flourishing on the ridge that rises between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes. Through the years, that vision has remained Ovid's guiding purpose, fostering a spirit of resilience that will lead us into our future.
WE AREN'T JUST IMAGINING OVID'S NEXT CHAPTER, WE'RE BUILDING IT.
Real, lasting revitalization takes dedicated vision and sustained community action. The individuals, small businesses, and regional partners listed below are our Future Makers. They share our vision, and their support will enable us to shape the economic and cultural fabric of Ovid. Without public contributions our mission to rebuild Ovid's downtown would not be possible.
